Preview Exhibit and Artist’s Reception
Saturday, Nov 1, 2014
5 pm–8 pm
906 Harney Street
Vancouver, WA 98660

Sponsored by Arts of Clark County, Open Studios is a juried art event designed to enhance community awareness of talented local artists while enriching the cultural life of Clark County neighborhoods.

Last year’s event
The first annual Clark County Open Studio tour in November 2013 exceeded all expectations. Art lovers and the curious came out in the masses to attend. Some of the more centrally located studios had as many as 300 visitors over the two-day tour. Even more impressive were the numbers of people out exploring the countryside to visit rural studios. A substantial number of local residents attended the tour but we also had visitors from Portland, Salem, Longview, Tacoma, Seattle and the coast—many coming to Clark County specifically for this event. The response from both participating artists and visitors has been overwhelmingly positive.

Many thanks to our 2013 sponsors
The 2013 Clark County Open Studios was sponsored by Arts of Clark County in partnership with Vancouver’s Downtown Association and their First Friday Art Walk. Special thanks to Dirty Hands Brewing and Umpqua Bank for their catering of the preview exhibition and reception, to Twila Barbieri, Clark County Printing Services for printing of the tour guides, to Lee Rafferty, VDA director, for her sponsoring of the art shuttle bus, and to VOCA for providing the venue—all of which helped to make the Open Studios reception and exhibit a great success. Here’s a short video about the event created by WSU student, Diana Brown.
